What does it cost you?
There are no separate charges. What you pay each month is the price of the cover.
What if you stop paying?
Your savings stay with the society. What happens next is set by its own rules, which it does not publish.
What if you need the money early?
You cannot take this money out while you are a member. You get it back when you leave.
Who this suits
You want savings you cannot dip into, and the chance to borrow against them. Maktaba offers a Karibu loan for new members and a Uwezo loan for longer-term financing.
You may need the money back soon. It is locked while you are a member. The society does not publish its joining terms, so you cannot check the entry cost or minimum deposit before applying.
What they tell you
