What if you stop paying?
Your savings stay with the society. What happens next is set by its own rules, which it does not publish in full.
What if you need the money early?
Non-withdrawable deposits need 60 days' written notice. The amount is reduced by any outstanding loans. Share capital is non-withdrawable but you can sell or transfer your shares. The BOSS account needs one month's notice.
Who this suits
You want savings that are tied up while you are a member, with the chance to borrow against them.
You may need your money quickly. Much of it is locked while you are a member.
